Two die in school bus accident in Baringo
Police reports indicate that the bus rolled several times and landed at the bottom of a steep slope.
Two people have lost their lives in an accident that involved a school bus at Patkawanin along Karbaret-Marigat Road in Baringo County.
Baringo County Commissioner Stephen Kutwa has confirmed the Kapsabet Boys High School bus accident.

"One teacher and one student were fatally injured, five students were seriously injured, while 19 others were slightly injured," a police report reads in part.
The students who sustained various injuries have been taken to Kabarnet and Marigat Mission hospitals and Baringo County Referral Hospital, while the bodies of those who have perished have been moved to Kabarnet level 4 hospital mortuary.
The bus was carrying 63 passengers on board, among them 61 students, one teacher, and the driver. It was heading towards Marigat and upon reaching the spot where the accident occurred, the driver is said to have lost control and veered off the road.

Kenya Red Cross has confirmed the tragedy, announcing their response team, alongside the County Ambulance Crew, are currently at the scene.
Motorists have been advised to be careful while approaching the scene.
