Abducted Eastleigh woman, Shankara Adan Hassan rescued in Meru County

After a harrowing abduction, 39-year-old Shankara Adan Hassan has been successfully rescued from a hideout in Kangeta, Maua, Meru County.
Shankara Adan Hassan, who was kidnapped by armed men in broad daylight in the heart of Eastleigh on Thursday, was this morning located safe and sound in a hideout in Kangeta, Maua, Meru County by the police.
The kidnapping of the 39-year-old businesswoman, who works at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, had caused distress to her family and sent shockwaves through the community. Earlier, the taxi driver who was with her at the time was arrested and is set to appear in court on Monday.
