Ibrahim Haji Warfa, a prominent leader and a pillar of the Eastleigh business community, who died this afternoon was laid to rest at the Langata Muslim Cemetery in Nairobi.

Hundreds of mourners gathered to bid their final farewell to the deceased. Haji Ibrahim, who was 73, passed away after a short illness in a hospital in Nairobi South C.

Haji Ibrahim was best known for starting KAH, a global money transfer company, as well as being a property developer and a wholesale trader. He was celebrated for his substantial contributions to the growth and development of the Eastleigh community.

As a respected elder within the Somali community, he embodied unity and progress, leaving an irreplaceable void with his passing. Many in the community recognize the enduring impact of his contributions to the area’s cultural and economic landscape.

The funeral drew a host of notable figures, including the President of the Jubaland State in Somalia, Ahmed Mohamed Islam, Kamukunji MP Yusuf Hassan, former Minister and MP for Tarbaj, Mohamed Elmi, former Wajir Governor Ahmed Mukhtar, former Wajir South MP Dr. Mahamud Sheikh Mohamed Omar, and the former BBC broadcaster, Mohamed Abdullahi.

The funeral was attended by respected religious leaders, including Sheikh Mahamud Abdi Umal, Sheikh Abdirizak Jiir, and the former Deputy Chief Kadhi, Sheikh Rashid.

Other notable figures who were also present included Abdi Madobe, the Vice Chairman of the Eastleigh Business Community, Nairobi business magnate Yusuf Abdi Yalaha, and Haji Yusuf Sheikh.
