The Junior Starlets, aiming for back-to-back World Cup qualification, will play Uganda in March after being given a bye during the First Qualifying Round, which saw Uganda defeat Namibia 18-1 on aggregate to progress to the Second Round.
The winner of that second-round encounter will play either Cameroon or Ethiopia for a chance to qualify for the 2025 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup, which will take place in Morocco from 17 October to 8 November.
The Junior Starlets have been preparing for their qualifier match against Uganda with a series of friendly matches against various FKF WPL teams.
The results have so far been positive, with the Junior Starlets defeating Mathare Women 5-0 and Zetech Sparks 5-3 in matches played on February 18, 2025, at the Dandora Stadium.
The dates for Starlets clash against Uganda have not been confirmed yet, but first leg matches are scheduled to take place on 7-9 March, with return leg fixtures taking place a week later on 14-16 March.
