Pipeline's Trizah Atuka voted into 2025 CAVB team of the tournament

The tournament ended on Sunday with Egypt's Zamalek defending their crown with a 3-1 (29-27, 22-25, 25-20, 25-22) win over Al Ahly in the final.
Trizah Atuka of the Kenya Pipeline women's volleyball team has been voted onto the team of the tournament of the just-concluded 39th edition of the CAVB Women Volleyball Club Championships that was held in Abuja, Nigeria.
Atuka, who turns 33 today, helped Kenya Pipeline to secure a bronze medal at the championships and was recognised as one of the best two middle blockers, along with May Abdelmaguid of Egyptian club Al Ahly.
The tournament ended on Sunday with Egypt's Zamalek defending their crown with a 3-1 (29-27, 22-25, 25-20, 25-22) win over Al Ahly in the final.
As such, Zamalek dominated the tournament's dream team with three out of seven selections.
Toqallah Eassa (best opposite), Shrouk Mahmoud (best setter), and Icel Nadim (best libero) were Zamalek's representatives in the tournament's dream team.
The other two players in the dream team are Jihan Mohamed of Tunisia's CF Carthage and Tatjana Bokan of Al Ahly. The duo were recognised as the tournament's best outside hitters.
Despite not making the tournament's dream team, Mariam Metwally Mohamed of Zamalek was voted as the tournament's most valuable player.
Apart from Kenya Pipeline, Kenya was also represented at the tournament by KCB and Kenya Prisons, who ranked fifth and sixth, respectively, in the final rankings.
The three teams are expected to arrive back into the country from Nigeria on Tuesday morning.
