The Gilgil-based side, backed by a passionate home crowd, started brightly and took control from the opening whistle. Skipper Emmy anchored the midfield, Florence earned her first league start, and Mukhwana led the attack.
After a lively opening spell, Trinity broke the deadlock in the 27th minute when Splendor curled in a stunning free kick. Just a minute later, Mukhwana doubled the lead with a thunderous finish, sending fans into celebration.
Kisped pulled one back before halftime, capitalising on a defensive lapse, but Trinity held a 2–1 advantage at the break.
In the second half, the hosts remained relentless. Substitute Beril replaced Florence early on, injecting pace and energy into the attack. In the 61st minute, Mejor made it 3–1, calmly converting after an inch-perfect assist from the impressive Splendor.
Beril then turned super-sub, scoring Trinity’s fourth goal in the 74th minute to seal the win. Kisped struck again late to make it 4–2, but it was merely a consolation as Trinity closed out the match with composure.
The result cements Trinity Starlets’ position at the summit of the table, continuing their unbeaten run with a confident and attacking display that thrilled their supporters.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the country, Zetech Sparks FC returned to winning ways with a 3-1 triumph over Gideon Starlets, powered by a superb hat-trick from Violet Akinyi.
Gideon, still searching for their first win since promotion, began with intensity but was undone by Zetech’s clinical attacking play. Akinyi opened the scoring midway through the first half with a composed finish following a neat midfield link-up.
Gideon briefly levelled with a well-taken goal, but Zetech regained control before halftime. Akinyi restored the lead with a poacher’s finish inside the box, and she completed her hat-trick in style in the second half, curling home from distance to seal the result.
The win lifts Zetech Sparks top of the table and restores confidence after last weekend’s narrow defeat to Ulinzi Starlets, while Gideon’s search for their first points of the season continues.
