The Ingo 7s tournament held over the weekend on 3rd and 4th August 2024 saw new champions rise to the ranks. Kenya Harlequins were crowned champions of the tournament, redeeming themselves after their defeat in the first leg finals (Christie 7s) of the National Sevens Circuit.

Division One, which held four pools started on Saturday and the big wins of this division in round one were Masinde Muliro University, which triumphed with a decisive 47-0 against Western Bulls, and KCB, which culled through Stallions almost at will with a 34-0 win.

Round two of Division One saw the 2024 Christie 7s Champions crush Western Bulls in a win of 34-0, while the champions of the tournament won 19-0 against Mwamba.

In Division Two, the competition was fierce, featuring five pools, each comprising four teams. The day began with KCA University facing off against Sigalagala National Polytechnic, where Sigalagala triumphed with a decisive 17-0 victory. Both Molo and Zetech University were awarded 28-0 wins as their opponents, Kisii University and Busia Borderrucks, failed to appear.

In a thrilling Round Two, KCA University showcased remarkable tenacity, overpowering Kenya Police with an impressive 19-0 victory, marking their first triumph of the day. Sigalagala maintained their unbeaten run, securing a hard-fought 19-12 win against Embu RFC. Mean Machine experienced a stroke of luck, clinching their first win by default after Kisii RFC was unable to compete. Meanwhile, Zetech University celebrated their second victory of the day with a closely contested 19-12 win over Homabay Rugby.

Kenya Harlequin RFC triumphed in the 2024 Ingo 7s, defeating KCB 17-12 in a thrilling final on Sunday, August 4, 2024, at the ASK Kakamega Showgrounds. Quins, who reached the finals of the opening Christie 7s tournament at the RFUEA grounds last weekend, cruised their way to the final and are now on course to achieve their target of winning the overall circuit with as many semi-finals, finals, and even tournament wins as possible.

The National Sevens Circuit is set to flag in their third leg on 17th and 18th August 2024, the Dala 7s, at Jomo Kenyatta International Stadium located in Kisumu.
