After a fruitful training camp in Spain, the team is full of confidence as they prepare for their group stage matches against England, Korea DPR, and Mexico.

The team recently wrapped up a two-week training camp in Spain, where they secured a convincing 4-1 victory against local side Intercity CF in their final warm-up game on Monday, boosting their morale ahead of the global tournament.

Captain Elizabeth Ochaka expressed optimism, saying, “The camp has been incredibly productive, and we’ve gained valuable experience. Our goal is to reach the semi-finals and compete strongly.”
The early arrival in the Dominican Republic gives the team time to acclimatize before the tournament begins. They also have a final preparation match lined up against the hosts.
Head coach Mildred Cheche is counting on the impressive form of striker Valerie Nekesa, who has found the net in matches against Valencia and Intercity CF, while also providing a crucial assist in a draw against Portugal.
The Junior Starlets are set to face England on October 18, Korea DPR on October 20, and Mexico on October 24, 2024, in the group stage.
