Fire has erupted at the Jua Kali section of Muthurwa, Landi Mawe in Starehe Constituency, engulfing local businesses and prompting the Red Cross to deploy emergency response teams. Two Nairobi County fire engines are battling the flames, but the extent of the damage and losses remains unclear. Black smoke hanged thick in the air as onlookers anxiously awaites updates.
According to Red Cross two people who were injured in the inferno were evacuated and taken to hospital.
