Tana River swears in new county boards to accelerate development agenda
The governor disclosed that the county is in the final stages of clearing permits for a group of Canadian investors who plan to set up an ambitious ‘Organic City’ within Tana River.
Tana River County has sworn in fresh members to its Investment and Corporation Board and the Municipality Board in a move set to bolster the region’s development agenda, with plans underway to host a Canadian-backed 'Organic City' project.
The oath-taking ceremony was conducted at Governor Dhadho Godhana's official residence in Hola and officiated by Senior Principal Magistrate Edward Too.

The appointees to the County Investment and Corporation Board include Gerald Bombe, Musa Abdi and Salma Mohammed, while Rashid Onchaga will serve on the Municipality Board.
Governor Godhana urged the newly sworn-in officials to carry out their duties with integrity, professionalism, and a clear focus on community impact.
“This is not merely a title. It is a responsibility to ensure we steer Tana River towards meaningful progress, away from political distractions and towards tangible results,” he said.
