When users type in the text box, a new pencil button will appear, slightly above the send button, tapping it will allow the user to edit the text in various styles.
WhatsApp is reportedly working on a new feature that could soon allow users to proofread, rephrase and rewrite text that they type in different styles.
According to a report by Android Authority, WhatsApp v2.25.8.5 includes a code that indicates that the messaging application is experimenting with an AI-based feature that can be used within the chat box itself.

“When users type in the text box, a new pencil button will appear, slightly above the send button, tapping it will allow the user to edit the text in various styles,” they stated.
The feature, which is currently in development, and has not been rolled out, will explore a new AI-based text rewriting feature that will help users change the style and tone of their messages including: ‘supportive’, ‘funny’, ‘puns’, ‘sarcastic’, ‘rephrase’, ‘sad’, ‘proofread’ among others.

But they say that the proofread option will recheck the typed message for spelling mistakes and grammatical errors, while the other options will change the tone and the style.
WhatsApp is also reportedly testing an AI-powered profile photo generator.
According to a recent WABetaInfo report, this feature will allow users to create personalized and unique profile pictures using AI. The rollout has already begun for select users in beta testing.
