Most used social media platforms worldwide in 2025
Instagram and TikTok continued to dominate the digital space, with 2 billion and 1.94 billion users respectively, reflecting their strong appeal to younger audiences.
An overview by DataReportal shows that Facebook remained the most widely used social media platform globally in 2025, attracting 3.07 billion users.
It was closely followed by WhatsApp, with 3 billion users, while YouTube secured third place with 2.54 billion active users.
