FKFPL: Gor Mahia pips Tusker to extend lead to ten points

In a captivating Saturday clash at the Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos, Gor Mahia extended their lead at the top of the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) with a 1-0 triumph over Tusker FC.
Gor Mahia's impressive run in the league continued as they tactically approached the game, breaking through in the 20th minute with Austine Odhiambo's goal after a lapse in the Tusker defense following a free kick awarded to Jonathan McKinstry's side.

Despite Gor's dominance, Tusker's custodian Brian Bwire made a remarkable save from a free kick minutes later, denying Odhiambo the opportunity to double the lead. Tom Teka had a chance to level the score for Tusker, but his header flew wide, leaving Gor Mahia in control.
The Brewers' standout player, Mike Odour, attempted to equalize with a half-volley, but Gor's goalkeeper Kevin Omondi made a clean save. Tusker coach Matano made two changes at halftime, but Gor Mahia held on to secure the victory.

In other FKFPL matches on Saturday, Shabana FC suffered a 1-0 defeat to Ulinzi Stars at the Raila Odinga Stadium, dealing a blow to their survival hopes. Masita Masuta scored the decisive goal, separating the two former Premier League champions.
Kariobangi Sharks and Bandari FC played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Mbaraki Sports Club, with Sharks scoring in the final ten minutes to share the spoils. Meanwhile, KCB battled to a barren draw against Muhoroni Youth at Thika Stadium, leaving Bernard Mwalala's charges seventh on the log with 28 points.
