Ulinzi Stars reappoint Danstun Nyaundo as Head Coach

Nyaudo replaces Anthony Kimani who recently parted ways with the club
Ulinzi Stars have reappointed Danstun Nyaundo as head coach just a day after parting ways with Anthony Kimani. The decision to replace Kimani stemmed from the team's inconsistent performances and their inability to contend for trophies.
On their official platform, the club warmly welcomed Coach Nyaundo back, announcing that he will be supported in managing the team by Hamisi Abdala, Fadhili Yaya, and Francis Onyiso. This team of coaches aims to steer the Ulinzi Stars towards better performance and stability in the upcoming seasons.

Nyaundo's return marks a significant moment for the club. He had previously taken over as interim head coach on December 14, 2017, following Benjamin Nyangweso's redeployment to other military duties. The club confirmed Nyangweso's reassignment and Nyaundo's interim appointment during that period.
“Head Coach Benjamin Nyangweso has been redeployed to other military duties. Meanwhile, Dunstan Nyaudo takes over on an interim basis,” the club noted.
During the recently concluded 2023–24 season of the Kenya Premier League, Ulinzi Stars encountered substantial challenges, only managing to accumulate 39 points under Kimani's leadership. Despite securing 10 wins, 9 draws, and suffering 15 losses, the team struggled to maintain a higher position in the league table, ultimately finishing in 12th place. However, their league status was safeguarded in the final match against the Kariobangi Sharks, ensuring continuity and future aspirations for the club.
