Video: Kindiki calls for comprehensive climate financing reforms and a bold global funding target for 2035

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki, while addressing the COP30 summit in Brazil, says Africa holds the key to global clean energy, yet receives less than 2 per cent of the $3 trillion (Sh387 trillion) in global renewable investment, leaving 600 million people without power. He warns that the gap between promises and delivery is β€œhuge”, urging the world to view Africa as an economic opportunity, not a risk. Kindiki also calls for comprehensive climate financing reforms and a bold global funding target for 2035.
