Lawrence Omondi, Founder of Machozi Ya Mwisho Initiative, during a run to raise awareness about Postpartum Haemorrhage in Nairobi: No mother should ever be detained just because they are not able to pay a few thousand shillings. We believe that maternal care should be absolutely free. When you detain the mothers, you are putting the lives of the newborns at risk.
