Senate Public Accounts Committee (PAC) meets Trans Nzoia Governor George Natembeya to review unresolved audit queries for the 2023/24 financial year. Governor Natembeya raised concerns over revenue leakages linked to the transition to a new collection system, warning that inefficiencies and misclassification could be driving the losses. PAC Chair Moses Kajwang’ highlighted a drop in cess collection from Sh44 million to Sh11 million, suggesting that Sh30 million may have been stolen. He called for stricter accountability measures from the governor.
