Tough opponents await Wajir teams as Safaricom Chapa Dimba national draw is released

The Safaricom Chapa Dimba national finals will be played in Kisumu from Thursday 11 to 14 April

The draw for the Safaricom Chapa Dimba Tournament National Final has revealed the matchups for the highly anticipated quarterfinals.

Among the contenders, the spotlight shines on the two Wajir teams, Wajir AllStars and Wajir Girls, who will face Bandari Youth and Barcelona Ladies respectively in the quarterfinals.

Both boys and girls teams from Wajir will be vying for the top prize of Ksh 1 million, with the runners-up also eyeing a significant reward of Ksh 500,000. Additionally, all semifinalists stand to pocket Ksh 250,000 each. Outstanding players will receive recognition, with the Most Valuable Players (MVPs), top scorers, and best goalkeepers from both categories earning Ksh 50,000 each.

Furthermore, the winners of the tournament will be awarded locally assembled neon smartphones. In an exciting development, an All-Star team comprising MVPs from the regional finals and the national final will embark on a 14-day boot camp in Spain. Additionally, the MVPs of the national final will have the opportunity to try out at a professional academy in Spain.

The action-packed tournament will culminate in the finals on Sunday 14 April at the Jomo Kenyatta Stadium in Kisumu.
