CS Machogu to release KCSE results today in Eldoret

Ruto ordered an investigation of some 3,000 candidates who registered for the exam but failed to sit for the papers.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu will today release the 2023 KCSE results in Eldoret.

The CS briefed President William Ruto on Monday morning at Eldoret State Lodge ahead of the release of the much-anticipated results.

Ruto ordered an investigation of some 3,000 candidates who registered for the exam but failed to sit for the papers.

The KCSE exam began on October 23 and ended on November 24. Some 903,260 candidates sat the papers.

This is the first in five years that the release of KCSE results has been delayed. The Ministry has been releasing the results before Christmas since 2016.

But this year the delay was attributed to the high level of verification of the results following the confusion that rocked the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education.

In December, the CS assured that the KCSE results would be credible, adding that the marking centres were increased from 35 to 40 to better the working conditions.
