Eastleigh among other areas to face power outages on Sunday

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced planned power outages affecting various areas nationwide, including Eastleigh Area.
In a notice, the utility firm said the planned interruptions would happen between 9 am and 5 pm.

"The following areas will be on a scheduled outage tomorrow, June 30, 2024, to carry out network maintenance," the company said.
In Eastleigh, the affected areas include Mohammed Yusuf Haji Avenue, Ismail Hassan, Moyale Mall, Sirare, Taran, Pumwani Hospital, California, Care Hospital, Mabruk and adjacent customers.
Parts of the Kyangombe area in Syokimau will also face power interruptions. They include; Inland Container Deport (ICD), Kyang'ombe, Heavy Engineering, Tile & Carpet, Kings, Atlantis Business Park, Walstreet Business Park, Powergen Renewable Energy, Vimit Converters, Sanden Intercool (K), Enyon Ltd, Hasbah Kenya, Pili Trade Centre and Posh Auto Body.
Others are; Jumbo Chem, Alpha Centre, Ramtons, Tuskys HQtrs, Steel Makers, Manchester Outfitters, REA, Nice & Lovely, Prime Car- tons, Ocean Group, Kenbro, Saj Ceramics, Patmos, Laneeb Plastics, Chemical & Solvent, Nyoro Construction, Kenbelt, KenGen Godowns, Label Converters, SGR, Part of Mombasa Road & adjacent customers.
Kenya Power added that the Serian area in Kajiado County will also experience power outages from 9 am to 3 am.
These areas include; Arap Moi, Kanisani Rd, Kwekwe, Nywat, Enkang, Kahuho, Part of Kiserian Town, Green Goes, Sankale, Gategi, Ngaruroro, GP, Olchorenyore, Dawamu, Oloirien, Ebenezer Children Home, Citam Children Home, Birika, Ostrich Farm, Kipeto, Saithya Sai & adjacent customers.
Additionally, parts of Kiambu County particularly the Naidu Hospital area will also face power interruptions from 9 am to 5 pm.
These include parts of Thika Town, Thiwasco, Kanini Haraka, Jogoo Kimakia, Silver Oak, Section 2 Thika, Karangaita, Simbi Roses, Chania Girls, Maporomoko & adjacent customers.
