The Israeli construction industry plans to hire Indian workers to replace Palestinian employees.

The Israeli construction industry plans to hire Indian workers to replace Palestinian employees. Due to the loss of work permits for 90,000 Palestinians, the construction sector in Israel has asked the government for permission to employ up to 100,000 workers from India.

'Right now, we are negotiating with India. We are waiting for the decision of the Israeli government to approve that. And, we hope to engage 50,000 to 100, 000 workers from India to be able to run the whole sector and bring it back to normal" ~ said the Vice President of the Israel Builder Association, Haim Feiglin.

As a result, an agreement has been reached between India and Israel allowing 42,000 Indian individuals to work in Israel. The recent Israel-Gaza conflict and the failure of close to 90,000 Palestinian workers failing to renew their work permits has increased the demand for workers, prompting the need for an immediate hiring of 100,000 workers from India.
