Highlighting the board's commitment to leveraging sports for tourism promotion, Chirchir emphasised that the gesture of a holiday for sports stars enhances the country’s destination appeal.

Ferdinand Omanyala, Africa's fastest man and Commonwealth Games 100m champion, is unwinding this Christmas with a three-day holiday retreat at the Maasai Mara National Reserve, courtesy of the Kenya Tourism Board (KTB).

Taking a break from the track, Omanyala is rejuvenating after a demanding training season, gearing up for the upcoming Olympic Games next year. KTB CEO John Chirchir extended his congratulations and appreciation to Omanyala for his remarkable achievements, elevating Kenya's status in sprinting on the global stage.
