Eyewitnesses recount a horrifying scene, describing the sudden collapse of the construction platform, known as a scaffolding, that had been erected for workers to carry out tasks on the outer walls of the building. The masons, working on the exterior, found themselves in a perilous situation when the scaffolding gave way, leading to the devastating incident.

One eyewitness, Rahab Njeri, a resident in the vicinity, recalls the chaotic moment. "I heard a loud crash, and when I rushed to the construction site, I saw dust and debris everywhere. Workers were screaming for help, and it was a dreadful sight," she said.

Rescue operations swiftly commenced, with emergency services rushing to the scene to extract the injured and retrieve the bodies of the deceased. The injured workers were taken to nearby medical facilities for urgent medical attention.
