The nine judicial services to be provided encompass a range of functionalities, allowing citizens to interact with the legal system more efficiently. One notable service is the ability to file new civil cases, making the legal process more accessible to the public. Additionally, individuals can file documents in existing cases, inquire about general case information, and request and receive mention dates through the Huduma Centres.
Virtual court support is another significant offering, allowing citizens to access virtual court links. This service is designed to provide convenient options for those who may face challenges attending court physically. Furthermore, individuals can request and receive summons to enter appearance. This service facilitates access to crucial documents related to divorce cases, court orders, decrees, and copies of rulings or judgments, whether certified or uncertified.
E-filing support is a crucial addition to the array of services offered. Citizens will receive assistance in opening E-filing accounts, recovering accounts and resetting passwords, and learning how to navigate the system. The Judiciary Public Information desk will also provide guidance on self-help options through this service.
In a bid to simplify the payment processes associated with legal matters, Kenyans will now be able to pay fines and deposits at the designated Huduma Centres. The service ensures that individuals are issued with payment invoices and can comply with court orders by paying fines, cash bails, and other deposits conveniently.
