The officers, en route to supervise the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) examinations, inadvertently triggered a remote-controlled IED, suspected to have been planted by al-Shabaab militants. The harrowing incident underscores the persistent danger posed by such explosive devices and the grave consequences they entail.
