The launch of this initiative commenced with the handover of classrooms and delivery of desks to Zawadi Primary School in Eastleigh South ward, made possible through the Kamukunji National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF).
The headteacher of Zawadi Primary School, Rosa Musyimi, expressed gratitude, emphasizing the importance of these additions in alleviating overcrowding and enhancing the learning environment in the school.
Serving students from scores of informal settlements, Zawadi Primary School stands as a beacon of hope. The Eastleigh South MCA, Nicolas Juma, commended the CDF Committee for its commitment to education, thanking them for providing a conducive environment for learners.
The local MP expressed pride in Zawadi Primary School's performance in KCPE and outlined his vision for well-equipped classrooms, quality furniture, and proficient teachers in all Kamukunji schools.
He later visited and engaged with students at the Lady of Mercy Girls Primary and Heshima Primary Schools in Shauri Moyo, providing desks and chairs and presenting each school with six footballs.
Encouraging students to aspire to higher education and impactful professions, he emphasized the importance of their role as future leaders.
