Abdulhamid, the son of venerable Sheikh Abdirashid Ali Sufi, breathed his last on Thursday in Doha, Qatar. Known for his devout religiosity and commitment to memorizing the Holy Quran, Abdulhamid's untimely demise has left the community in mourning.

Abdulhamid left Nairobi for Doha on Sunday, while in Nairobi with his father he attended various Islamic functions, primarily centered around Quran recitation. Last Friday, the duo actively participated in Quranic events, with Abdulhamid passionately reciting verses from Surat Yasin, focusing on the bounties in Jannah, or paradise.

Condolences have been pouring in from high-profile individuals, including Sheikh Jamaludin Osman, the Imam of Nairobi's Jamia Mosque. In a heartfelt message on Facebook, Sheikh Jamaludin expressed his grief, stating, "Inalillahi wainaileyhi rajiun. Last Friday we spent time together in Nairobi with Abdulhamid Ibn Sh. Abdirashid ibn Sh. Ali Sufi."

The sudden and unexpected nature of Abdulhamid's passing has left many in shock, as the cause of his death still remains unknown. The Islamic community, both locally and globally, mourns the loss of a dedicated and pious individual.
