The government has allocated Sh1.2 billion to Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions nationwide, signaling a pivotal moment in its commitment to skills development. In a press statement by TVET PS Esther Muoria, this substantial funding serves as a major boost, addressing critical needs such as tuition, training materials, utilities, and co-curricular activities, thereby creating an optimal environment for effective learning and skill acquisition.

With a focus on improving accessibility and enhancing the quality and relevance of TVET, the allocated funds will be strategically invested in various initiatives. One notable aspect includes providing financial assistance to individual trainees, empowering aspiring professionals across diverse fields. "This funding ensures that current TVET trainees have ample opportunities for success within and beyond the institution, emphasizing the inclusive principle of training for everyone and leaving no one behind," she said.
