Police probe motive behind torching of two men in Marsabit
As the manhunt for the criminals continues, preliminary investigations point to a suspected case of a deal gone sour.
Police in Moyale Sub-County are investigating the motive behind Sunday night's killing of two men and torching of their bodies at Dirdima area in Nana location along the Marsabit-Wajir border.
The criminals said to have crossed over from a neighbouring country ambushed the pair, shot them dead before setting their bodies and a motorbike they had on fire.

Three camels that were watering within the area were also shot dead during the around 11 pm incident.
As the manhunt for the criminals continues, preliminary investigations point to a suspected case of a deal gone sour.
Moyale Sub-County Police Commander George Kipkoros told The Eastleigh Voice that some unused ammunition was found scattered at the crime scene.
"We suspect the victims could have been involved in the illicit sale of firearms and may have been armed during the incident," he said.
Some of the ammunition had been destroyed by the fire, the police boss added.
"We are also investigating why the assailants torched the bodies beyond recognition, which makes it hard for the investigators to establish the identity of the deceased persons," Kipkoros noted.
The remains are preserved at a mortuary within Moyale town.
