The Kenya U17 national team, Junior Starlets, have made a big stride towards creating history as they have successfully qualified for the fourth and final round of the 2024 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup qualifiers.

The team secured a commanding 3-0 win against Ethiopia on Sunday, May 19, 2024 at Ulinzi Sports Complex.

The match was greatly influenced by Captain Elizabeth Ochaka, who took charge and scored a goal in the 44th minute, giving Kenya a significant lead at halftime. Her goal gave the team an extra boost of confidence as they entered the second half.

In the 55th minute, Velma Awuor increased the advantage with a skillfully executed goal, boosting their momentum.

Lorna Faith's goal on 70 minutes sealed the important win for the young Kenyan girls.

The Junior Starlets' victory in this match takes them to the fourth round of the qualifiers, putting them on the brink of a momentous achievement - their first-ever qualification for the World Cup.
