The Safaricom Chapa Dimba All-Stars team is set to depart for Huesca, Spain, for a week-long training camp. The 32 young players, selected from regional finals across Kenya, will benefit from top-tier training and international exposure.

The Safaricom Chapa Dimba All-Stars team is gearing up for a week-long international training camp in Huesca, Spain. The team, comprising 32 players — 16 boys and 16 girls — was scouted from across Kenya during regional finals held in Western, Nyanza, Rift Valley, Eastern, Coast, Central, North-Eastern, and Nairobi.

Currently in camp at Ligi Ndogo Grounds, the squad will depart Nairobi on Sunday evening, 8th December. In Spain, the players will participate in intensive training sessions, friendly matches, and masterclasses with former professional footballers. They will also train at the Base Aragonesa de Fútbol, the modern sports facility of S.D. Huesca, as part of their exposure to international football standards.

Speaking at the team's unveiling, Safaricom CEO Dr. Peter Ndegwa expressed pride in the initiative, saying, “At Safaricom, we believe in creating opportunities that empower young people to showcase their talents on global stages. This trip is a unique experience for these players to learn from world-class football professionals. We wish them all the best as they represent Kenya.”

One of the players, Khamis Nyale from the Coast region, shared his excitement. “Visiting Spain to experience world-class football has always been my dream. Thanks to Safaricom Chapa Dimba, that dream is now a reality. I am grateful for this opportunity and determined to make the most of it to grow my football career.”

The team is accompanied by coaches Chrispine Odindo and Evans Oketch, along with representatives from the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

This initiative underscores Safaricom’s commitment to nurturing young football talent in Kenya by providing international exposure and opportunities for development.
