The government gazetted Monday, March 31, 2025, as a public holiday to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr as Muslims across Kenya mark the end of Ramadan.
During Ramadan, Muslims worldwide fast from dawn to dusk and engage in religious practices like Quran recitation, prayers, and charity, experiencing profound spiritual rejuvenation.
In Nairobi County, thousands of Muslims gathered for morning prayers at various places, including Jamia Mosque and the Sir Ali Masjid grounds, to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr.
In Eastleigh, Kamukunji Member of Parliament Yusuf Hassan, Somalia Ambassador to Kenya Jabril Ibrahim Abdulle and the Inspector General of Police Douglas Kanja joined hundreds of Muslims in Eid prayers at the Business Bay Square Mall.
