Survey: Only 4 per cent of public institutions meet disability employment quota

A nationwide survey found that nearly 79 per cent of employers have only 0–25 per cent of their workforce as persons with disabilities.

The 2025 Persons with Disabilities Act mandates that employers with 20 or more staff ensure at least five per cent of employees are persons with disabilities.

Currently, only 4 per cent of public institutions meet this quota.

A nationwide survey found that nearly 79 per cent of employers have only 0–25 per cent of their workforce as persons with disabilities, while 20.7 per cent were unsure of their staff composition.

Regarding past recruitment, just 34.5 per cent of employers reported having hired persons with disabilities.
