The swift operation conducted by law enforcement authorities marks a crucial breakthrough in addressing the threat posed by such criminal elements and ensuring the safety of the community.
It also brings a sense of relief to residents of Kisauni, who have been living in fear due to the increasing incidents of violent crime in the area.
Security authorities added that it also serves as a warning to criminal elements as law enforcement agencies are committed to ensuring the safety and security of the community.
Despite the success of the operation, attributed to a multi-agency effort led by the Deputy County Commissioner of Kisauni, police emphasised that a manhunt for other suspects involved in the crime was still underway.
The authorities urged members of the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the police promptly.
They further assured residents that efforts to maintain law and order will continue unabated, ultimately creating a safer environment for all.
Police echoed remarks made by Interior CS Kithure Kindiki last week, who reiterated that the government remains focused on curbing terrorism, banditry, livestock rustling and other organised criminal activities across the country.
“The sure way of turning around our national security and putting Kenya on a firm path to equitable development and shared prosperity," Kindiki stated while in Lodwar, Turkana, after meeting the county's security and intelligence team.
