Nairobi faces deep chill of 1°C Thursday night as rain sweeps across several counties

Between Tuesday and Saturday, areas such as Nyandarua, Laikipia, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Murang'a, Kiambu, Meru, Embu, Tharaka, and Nairobi will see mostly cloudy mornings breaking into sunny spells.
However, Thursday stands out as a day when a few places in these counties will experience rain showers.
Showers will also fall in the afternoons and evenings except for Friday night, which will be partly cloudy. Maximum temperatures will reach 28 degrees Celsius.
In Kitui, Makueni, Machakos, Kajiado, Taita Taveta, and the inland parts of Tana River, mornings and afternoons will generally be sunny, except for some showers expected on Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons.
Nights will be partly cloudy, with temperatures ranging from 12 to 31 degrees Celsius.
Along the coast, counties including Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, Kwale, and Tana River are expected to receive occasional showers throughout mornings, afternoons, and nights, except for Wednesday night when conditions will be partly cloudy.
These areas will experience daytime highs of 32 degrees Celsius and lows of 24 degrees.
A cluster of counties, including Siaya, Kisumu, Homabay, Migori, Kisii, Nyamira, Trans Nzoia, Baringo, Uasin Gishu, Elgeyo-Marakwet, Nandi, Nakuru, Narok, Kericho, Bomet, Kakamega, Vihiga, Bungoma, Busia, and West Pokot, will see scattered showers during afternoons and nights, with sunny mornings on certain days.
Temperatures here will range from 10 to 29 degrees Celsius.
Turkana and Samburu counties are set to enjoy sunny days and partly cloudy nights, with maximum temperatures of 36 degrees Celsius and minimums around 11 degrees.
The weather office also warns of strong winds, exceeding 25 knots, hitting the Coast, Southern-Eastern Lowlands, and parts of northern Kenya.
