The recovered cattle were later handed over to their rightful owners at Kipepeo Ranch.
Security meeting
This comes barely three days after, Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki held a strategy meeting with senior security officials at Shaba in Isiolo to lay the framework for the pacification of disturbed areas in Marsabit, Isiolo, Meru, Baringo, Samburu and Turkana counties.
During the meeting, the CS called for a comprehensive multiagency eradication strategy to combat the incessant security threats posed by livestock rustlers, highway robbers as well as human and drug traffickers.
He said the criminals have taken advantage of the rough terrain, poor infrastructure and social vulnerabilities to stage attacks against residents in parts of the Northern Rift Valley and Upper Eastern Regions.
"It's a culture that the government is determined to suppress this year," Kindiki said.
Two months ago, the CS handed over 200 recovered camels that were stolen by bandits in Isiolo.
During the handing over, he stated that security agencies in Northern Kenya were making progress against livestock theft as he issued a stern warning to those behind the vice that they would face the law.
