In a statement, the authority said the works are scheduled to run daily from Friday, November 14, 2025, to Monday, December 1, 2025.
This critical infrastructure project is set to affect motorists for over two weeks as KeNHA works to restore the quality and safety of the highway.
"KeNHA wishes to inform the public that there will be traffic disruption along Thika - Kilimambogo (A3) Road at Gatuanyanga (Delmonte Farms) Section to allow for carriage rehabilitation works scheduled from Friday, November 14, 2025, to Monday, December 1, 2025," the authority said.
The section of the road at Gatuanyaga is under active construction, necessitating a mandatory change to traffic management. To facilitate the rehabilitation works and ensure the safety of both construction crews and the public, KeNHA has confirmed that traffic flow in both directions will be diverted.
"Both Kilimambogo-bound traffic and Thika-bound traffic will be diverted as indicated on the Traffic diversion plan," the notice read.
KeNHA stressed the importance of public cooperation and caution during this period to prevent accidents and major congestion. The Authority issued a clear directive to all motorists using the Thika - Kilimambogo (A3) Road.
"Motorists are requested to exercise caution around the work areas, to follow the proposed traffic management plan below and cooperate with the police and traffic marshals on site," the authority said.
The works aim to rectify wear and tear, improve the riding surface, and enhance overall road safety for all users.
Rehabilitation works aim to eliminate the damage that has been incurred over time due to traffic and climate, and often seek to adjust the pavement's load-bearing capacity to handle increasing traffic.
