Peter Kenneth, Mwangi wa Iria land state jobs in Ruto’s government

Former Deputy Inspector General of Police, Noor Gabow has been handed the role of Consular General for the yet-to-be-established Consulate in Haiti.
More familiar faces continue to land State jobs as President William Ruto on Friday made additional appointments to senior ranks of the Executive.
Former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Kenya Bureau of Standards (KEBS) National Standards Council.

Also making a comeback is Ex Murang’a Governor Mwangi wa Iria who has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Public Procurement Regulatory Board.
“The appointments within the Executive Office of the President seek to augment the complement of personnel supporting the Head of State and Government in fulfilling the profound mandate vested in the nation's foremost office,” reads part of the notice from State House.
The notice released on Friday was signed by the Principal Administrative Secretary to the Head of Public Service, Arthur Osiya.

President Ruto at the same time appointed Gerald Nyaoma Arita as the Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Kenya.
Ruto also named four individuals to serve in his office. Professor Adams G.R. Oloo will serve as an Advisor for Strategy and Communication, while Dr. Silvester Okumu Kasuku will take on the role of Governance Advisor.
Major (Rtd) Ali Mahat Somane was appointed as an Advisor on Security Affairs in the Office of the National Security Advisor, and Joe Owaka Ager will now serve as the Secretary of Governance.
The President stated that these appointments were made based on the recommendations of the Public Service Commission and in accordance with the laws governing each public office.
Additionally, the President appointed Bruno Oguda Obodha as the Managing Director of the East African Portland Cement Company PLC and Douglas Murei Kaibos as the CEO of the Central Rift Valley Water Works Development Agency.
