The official results were announced shortly before midnight at the Borehole 5 Secondary School tallying centre. A total of 3,264 voters cast their ballots out of 7,050 registered voters, representing a 46.3 per cent turnout.
"The turnout was low but better than the last general election. The turnout is now 46.298 per cent," said the returning officer, adding that no incidents of violence or bribery were reported.
He commended the aspirants, voters, and security teams for maintaining peace throughout the exercise.
Hassan, who shifted from UPIA to Ford Kenya after his election was nullified following a petition filed by Feisal, thanked residents for standing by him despite his short stint in office.
"I can't express my feelings. When my seat was declared vacant, it was one of my lowest moments, having served for a short period. But tonight I am elated to retain my seat," he said.
He assured Fafi Ward residents that he would serve them diligently and work to meet their expectations.
