The public health team, led by Chief Officer Bisharo Hassan Duba, along with MCA Abdirashid Ali and representatives of the board members, visited the site on Wednesday to assess hygiene conditions.
The main purpose of the visit was to evaluate the overall state of the area, including hygiene standards, management of the site, and sanitation facilities.
"I am happy to note that the area is well-maintained, with proper consideration given to public health measures. Sleeping areas are appropriately spaced and well-ventilated, food handlers maintain good health standards, cooking areas are clean and organised, adequate safe drinking water is available, and clean and sufficient restroom facilities are in place," expressed Bisharo Hassan.
Chief Officer Bisharo plans to return on Sunday to monitor progress and identify areas for improvement in preparation for future gatherings.
During the visit, MCA Giran Dira also addressed various aspects related to the three-day event.
He promised full assistance to the worshippers whenever needed and assured locals of their safety, emphasising the round-the-clock work of the security team.
This visit follows the recent unfortunate incident in which a Pakistani worshipper lost his life while on his way to the place of worship (markaz), with another individual sustaining injuries.
The congregation aims at bringing together individuals from diverse backgrounds united by their Islamic faith.
This annual gathering serves as a platform to strengthen one's faith and cultivate a deep sense of remembrance and reverence for Allah in one's heart.
