MP Babu Owino, Senator Maanzo shine as 2024's most popular politicians – Infotrak
Kirinyaga's Jane Njeri has been ranked the most popular Woman Representative in 2024, according to the Infotrak survey, with a score of 52 per cent.
Makueni Senator Dan Maanzo and his Kirinyaga counterpart Kamau Murango have been named the most popular senators in 2024, according to a recent survey by Infotrak.
The survey which was released on Tuesday shows both senators scored 52 per cent in popularity.

Murang'a Senator Joel Nyutu and Busia’s Okiya Omtatah scored 50 per cent and were ranked third.
Nyandarua Senator John Methu and Kisii’s Senator Richard Onyonka followed closely with 49 per cent.
Six senators scored lower, with 42 per cent. These are Issa Juma Boy (Kwale), Agnes Kavindu (Machakos), William Wahome (Nyeri), Allan Chesang (Trans Nzoia), Hillary Sigei (Bomet), and Wafula Wakoli (Bungoma). Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna scored 45 per cent.
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has been named the most popular Member of Parliament in 2024, according to a recent survey by Infotrak, with a score of 72 per cent.
He is followed by Kiharu MP Ndindi Nyoro, who scored 71 per cent, and Kabuchai MP Joseph Kalasinga, who earned 62 per cent.
Kathiani MP Robert Mbui, Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, Sirisia MP John Waluke, Mumias East MP Peter Salasya, and Mbooni MP Erastus Nzioka all scored 61 per cent.

She is followed by Makueni's Rose Museo and Homa Bay's Joyce Bensuda, both with 46 per cent, while Kakamega's Elsie Muhanda scored 45 per cent. West Pokot's Rael Kasiwai and Kisumu's Ruth Odinga were ranked at 43 per cent.
The interviews were conducted from October to December 2024, covering all 47 counties, with a total sample size of 39,795 people.
The data was gathered through phone interviews and analysed using SPSS software.
A questionnaire was used, with a rating scale from 1 to 10. A score of 1 meant very poor, and 10 meant excellent. The average score for each key performance area (KPI) was calculated to create the Index for that specific area.
The overall performance of the counties was then determined by averaging the scores of all the KPIs.
