Registrar of political parties approves INJECT party name proposed by activist Morara Kebaso

The Registrar said the approval allows for the reservation of the party name for a maximum of 90 days from the date of the correspondence.

The Registrar of Political Parties Ann Nderitu, has approved the name of the Inclusion of National Justice Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT) party.

In a letter, Brian Pareno Solonka, had requested the approval of the party name which had been had been proposed by Lawyer and activist Morara Kebaso.

In a response dated September 27, 2024, Nderitu said, “Your application has been considered by law and the name Inclusion of National Justice Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT) has been approved.”

The Registrar said the approval allows for the reservation of the party name for a maximum of 90 days from the date of the correspondence.

Nderitu also included an enclosed guide outlining the next steps in the political party registration process.

Earlier in September, Kebaso had suggested a name for his new political party and called on the members of the public to add their input regarding the party’s name.

Through his X account, he created a poll with ‘I support’ and ‘I oppose’ to enable Kenyans to express their suggestions.

“We propose the name ‘Injection of National Justice, Economic and Civic Transformation (INJECT) Party,” he said.

He similarly called on Kenyans to express their suggestions on the party’s colours which he proposed as green and gold.

According to Kebaso, green stood for fresh growth while gold represented a prosperous future. "Comment below for alternative ideas,” the activist wrote.
