The Eritrean government is set to release comprehensive statements regarding the discussions in the near future.
Subsequent to his trip to Eritrea, President Mohamud received an official invitation from Egyptian President Abdelfattah Elsisi and will be embarking on a visit to Egypt soon.
This visit coincides with Egypt's call for the respect of Somalia's unity and territorial integrity, particularly in light of a recent navy base agreement between Ethiopia and Somaliland.
"Do not push us into knocking on doors we have not knocked on before. We will defend our state, cooperate with anyone to defend it," stated President Mahamud.
