KCB, Tusker FC, and Gor Mahia maintain lead as matchweek 17 concludes

Matchweek 17 of the Kenyan Premier League brought action-packed fixtures as Shabana FC and Posta Rangers claimed vital victories while Tusker FC faced an upset in Gusii.
Matchweek 17 of the Kenyan Premier League, originally set for January 6, 2024, was rescheduled to January 11 and 12, 2025.
KCB, Tusker FC, and Gor Mahia were at the top of the league table heading into the matches, while FC Talanta, Bidco United, and Posta Rangers occupied the bottom three positions.

Posta Rangers faced Nairobi City Stars at Machakos Stadium. Vincent Owino gave Rangers an early lead, but Lewis Shivachi equalized in the 27th minute. Oliver Maloba scored during added time to secure a 2-1 win for Rangers.
Shabana stings Tusker
Shabana FC hosted Tusker FC in Gusii. Charles Momanyi put Tusker ahead in the 11th minute, but Shabana responded with goals from Dennis Okoth and Ezekiel Omuri in the 44th and 83rd minutes, sealing a 2-1 victory.
Kakamega Homeboyz edge FC Talanta
FC Talanta lost 1-0 to Kakamega Homeboyz. Pius Wangi scored the only goal in the 75th minute.
Ulinzi shoot down Mara Sugar
This afternoon Ulinzi Stars played Mara Sugar at Dandora Stadium. The match was goalless until the 79th minute when Staphod Odhiambo scored, giving Ulinzi a 1-0 win.
Draws
Bidco United and Murang'a Seal drew 0-0. David Wafula of Murang'a Seal was named Man of the Match.
Mathare United and Kariobangi Sharks also played to a scoreless draw.
