Former Tusker FC defender Harold Ndege appointed FKF CEO

Harold Ndege has been appointed as the new CEO of the Football Kenya Federation, replacing Patrick Korir. The former Tusker FC defender takes over amid growing concerns over officiating, match-fixing, and hooliganism in Kenyan football.

Former Tusker FC defender Harold Ndege has been appointed as the new CEO of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) following his approval by the federation’s National Executive Committee (NEC) on Friday. He replaces Patrick Korir, who resigned earlier this month after serving in an acting capacity since October 2024.

The 44-year-old takes over from Patrick Korir who stepped down from the role and is currently serving his notice. He becomes the seventh person to hold the role, following Lordvick Aduda, Joseph Agola (acting), Michael Esakwa, Robert Muthomi, Barry Otieno, and Patrick Korir (acting).

Although his professional background is largely in private and public sector management over the past 13 years, Ndege has remained actively involved in football administration and sports media.

He is a founding member of the Kenya Footballers Welfare Association (KEFWA) and currently serves as the General Secretary of the Kenya Soccer Players Association (KESPA). His appointment comes after his role as the Head of the Hussein Mohammed FKF Presidential Campaign Secretariat and coincides with his position as Vice Chair of the East Africa Pamoja AFCON 2027 and CHAN 2025 Finance Committee.

Ndege is also known to Kenyan football fans for his work as a sports pundit on radio and TV, as well as his opinion pieces on local football, which have been published in both online and print media.

Holding a master’s degree in Business Administration, Ndege is expected to use his expertise in business development and financial management to streamline FKF’s daily operations.
