At the lower end of the standings, Tusker FC, 12-time league champions, remain bottom with two points, trailing APS Bomet and Murang’a Seal, who occupy 16th and 17th places respectively.
All eyes will be on Nyayo Stadium as Gor Mahia take on league leaders Posta Rangers in the day’s headline fixture.
Gor, who are currently sixth with six points from three matches, will be hoping to reduce the gap at the top. On the other hand, Posta Rangers, unbeaten so far this season, will aim to stretch their lead and maintain their strong start to the campaign.
At Gusii Stadium, Shabana FC hosts Mathare United in yet another important clash.
Shabana began the season on a high with victories over APS Bomet and Bandari, but their momentum slowed after a draw with Tusker FC and a 2–1 home defeat to Posta Rangers. The Glamour Boys will look to use their home advantage to bounce back.
For Mathare United, who are seeking consistency, the match offers a chance to recover from recent setbacks, a goalless draw with Tusker and a 2–1 loss to Kariobangi Sharks. The Slum Boys were unbeaten against Shabana last season, winning the first leg and drawing the return match in Kisii.
In Murang’a, Seal welcomes Tusker FC to St. Sebastian Park in what looks set to be a battle between two sides desperate to move away from the relegation zone.
Seal will count on home support to collect their first win and climb out of danger, while Tusker, who are enduring a rough start to the campaign, will be keen to finally register a victory after four matches without one.
Today’s fixtures will bring the curtain down on round five of the 2025/26 FKF Premier League, with potential changes expected at both the top and bottom of the standings depending on the day’s results.
