Tusker FC head coach Charles Okere expects nothing short of a fierce contest when his side faces Bidco United in a crucial FKF Premier League encounter at the Kasarani Annex on Friday evening.
Coming off a 1-1 draw against Kakamega Homeboyz at Bukhungu Stadium, the Brewers are looking to build on their recent momentum and climb higher from their current 7th place position with 9 points.

Bidco, meanwhile, sits two spots above them in 5th, with 11 points after seven games, setting up a potentially tight and tactical duel.
Okere was full of respect for his opponents, acknowledging Bidco’s tactical discipline and ability to capitalise on transitions.
“Bidco are a very compact side; they defend in numbers and are well organised. They have a very good squad and a really capable technical bench as well, so it is not a team that you can take lightly. They have players who can hurt you on the transition and are very strong on set pieces. We have to approach the game with total concentration and be ready to match their intensity,” said Okere.
Tusker head into the fixture buoyed by a growing sense of confidence, having shown steady improvement in both performance and results. The Brewers have picked up positive outcomes in their last four matches, and Okere believes the rhythm is beginning to show.
“The team has shown steady improvement, and the confidence is clearly growing. We are better now in terms of balance, energy, and understanding. The results have helped to build belief within the group,” he noted.
Defensively, Tusker appear to have found their footing after a shaky start to the season.
“Defensively, we’ve become more solid. The players have worked hard on our shape and communication, and that has made a big difference. We are now conceding fewer goals and controlling matches better,” the coach explained.
However, the Brewers’ boss admitted that finishing remains an area they must sharpen if they are to turn dominance into consistent victories.
“We’ve been creating a lot of chances in every game, but we need to be more clinical. In football, what matters most is turning those chances into goals. That’s something we’ve been emphasising in training, and I believe it’s only a matter of time before everything clicks. We have had two days to train since our last match, and these are some of the things we have been working on,” Okere added.
Tusker’s last outing saw Dennis Oalo come off the bench to open the scoring in the 61st minute, finishing a clever through-ball from Fabian Adikiny with a composed chip over the goalkeeper. However, Oliver Majaka’s late strike in the 87th minute denied them all three points.
Meanwhile, Bidco United arrive for the tie on the back of a goalless draw against APS Bomet, a result that highlighted their dominance in possession but also their struggles in front of goal. APS Bomet, for their part, managed to earn their first clean sheet of the campaign through dogged defending.
