Former AFC Leopards winger Ezekiel Otuoma has passed away, his wife Racheal confirmed in a heartfelt social media post on Saturday morning.
Otuoma, who also played for Ushuru, Muhoroni Youth, Western Stima, and Ulinzi Stars, had been battling motor neurone disease (MND), a debilitating condition that progressively damages the nervous system.

Diagnosed in May 2021, Otuoma’s illness marked the end of his football career.
The disease significantly affected his speech and mobility, confining him to a wheelchair and necessitating round-the-clock care. His wife, alongside close friends and well-wishers, played a crucial role in supporting him both emotionally and financially, contributing to his medical expenses.
According to medical experts, motor neuron disease can impact adults of any age.
The condition is life-shortening and, tragically, has no known cure.
