Mohamed Bakari, from the Majengo slums, is the treasurer of the Chipukizi Youth Group and captain of the Chipukizi Football Club. He says his recovery from drug abuse started over 10 years ago after battling stress and depression. He explains that peer pressure, not poverty, led him to drugs. With little knowledge about the risks and living in a tough environment, Mohamed felt overwhelmed and turned to drugs to escape when life got too hard.
