The contractor will close one lane on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 9 am to 6 pm both days inclusive.
Traffic disruptions will be witnessed on Lang'ata Road this weekend after an announcement by the Kenya Urban Roads Authority (KURA)
In a notice released by the agency, the two-day temporary disruption would be at the section between the Southern Bypass interchange and the African Medical and Research Foundation (AMREF) offices.

This is to facilitate the implementation of maintenance works along the section.
“The contractor will close one lane on Saturday, June 22 and Sunday, June 23, 2024, from 9 am to 6 pm both days inclusive,” reads the notice.
The authority said Traffic marshals and police will be deployed at the site to guide motorists and ensure a smooth flow of traffic.
Caution
Meanwhile, motorists planning to use the route were advised to drive with caution as they approached the closed section.
“We request the public to be patient as we strive towards transforming urban mobility,” reads the notice.
The announcement comes barely two days after the Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) announced the closure of a section of Uhuru Highway for 10 days to allow for repair works.
KeNHA stated that the closure would affect the highway section between the University of Nairobi Roundabout and the Nairobi Expressway Exit or Museum Hill Exit along the Nakuru-bound carriageway.
In a statement, the authority noted that the road would be closed for ten days, from Friday, June 14, to Sunday, June 23.
Motorists were advised to use alternative routes including Nyerere Road, Arboretum Drive, Riverside Drive, and Ring Road Kileleshwa.
